Todd Hollis got a job at the age of 21 with Dean Witter

Todd Hollis knows a thing or too about dedication. A 2005 Iron Man competitor, Hollis had to train to compete in the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile marathon that makes up the Iron Man competitor. But Hollis’ dedication to the competition was so far that he even had to learn to swim before he could compete.

But determination and dedication were things that Hollis had to learn, because they did not come naturally. After nearly failing out of high school his junior year, Hollis did not see a future for himself. His mother Judith encouraged him to keep going and to keep working hard. He didn’t give up and went on to college for a major in finance.

With dreams to take on Wall Street, Hollis got a job at the age of 21 with Dean Witter. After working day and night to try to make a name for himself, Hollis had mixed feelings. He had earned money and felt successful for the first time. But he had realized that Wall Street wasn’t for him. He decided to take his new found success back to school.

After finishing a law program, Hollis opened his own practice and something called the Messiah project. The Messiah project focuses on helping juveniles who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford legal services get what they need. He only asks that they pay back the good work by giving back to the community through service through various volunteer organizations.
